A Launceston Community Legal Centre program · formerly Legal Literacy Volunteers
Local people helping locals
The Legal Help Hub’s future depends on renewed funding. Act now to save it.
$300,000 a year for 5 years secures a team of 50 trained volunteers, including a coordinator and a part-time solicitor, delivering over 2,000 hours of free, place-based, face-to-face support every year across northern and north-east Tasmania.
- $5 returned for every $1 invested
- $1.5M+ in potential savings each year
- $100k in volunteer time each year

What the hub does
- Helps people understand and complete forms and documents
- Connects people to legal, community and adult literacy services
- Helps people early, before problems become disputes
- Builds understanding of the law in local communities
In your community: Launceston, Longford, Deloraine, Beaconsfield, George Town, Ravenswood, Newnham, Scottsdale and St Helens.
A partnership between the Launceston Community Legal Centre, Libraries Tasmania, 26TEN and Neighbourhood Houses.
